7 states 1 day.... We saw America

We took pictures of each state as we entered but the camera batteries are dead so the pictures will have to be added later.
We made it to Jackson, Ms in about 15 hours!
I will list our adventure by state:
MICHIGAN
Took 94 to 69. No problems. Actually we had to spend about 10 mins trying to get chai lattes before we headed out because the lady wanted to be friendly. It was 5:50 and we were not up to being friendly, "No, lady, we don't want to try coconut in out chai!"
INDIANA
The most exciting thing in this state was the radar detector saved us from an unmarked Copper. The cop was in a new mustang, with tinted windows, and only the Radar detector to let us know he was out to stop us from speeding. This is one of 3 times the radar saved us from being caught speeding. We eventually saw this Mustang with full police lights as it help pull over a semi.
ILLINOIS
This state seemed the longest
It also started raining and rained the whole time.
We drove by Effingham, There was a giant cross.
I think this is where we tried to stop at McD's for an Egg McMuffin, but we happen to arrive after a bus load of blue hairs and would never have gotten our food.
MISSOURI
This state was the ugliest. Michael described it best as "It looks as if the trees don't even want to be here"... super ugly.
We stopped at this place called Boomland (or to irritate Michael call it Boomtown) which is a store that sells a bunch of crap. There was a long line for Tobacco products throughout our time here. There was about a Jesus themed every thing from candels, to hats, to clothes.... Scary America.
ARKANSAS
This was prettier than Missouri. That is about all I can say.
We did drive by a place I had been on a previous supplier visit.
TENNESSEE
We stopped in Mephis for some Bar B Q. Wes helped us find a place over the phone that we put into the Nuvi. It was awesome... called the Bar-B-Q Shop. We had pulled pork sandwich, dry rub ribs, and baked beans that were great! It was off the road, in a hole in the wall... and it was great.
MISSISSIPPI
We left our great meal and ended up in MISS.... although this state doesn't have a Welcome Sign at the State line. I took a picture of the sign that says "Keep of Median" because I think that sign must be unique to the highways of MISS.... everyone else knows this. There was nothing on the side of the roads... welll we saw a prison and a hitch hiker. We almost ran out of fuel and had to have Michele find us a town near by with a Gas Station. We had 6 miles left on the range, and ended up getting fuel at a place called "Kangaroo". This state is prettier than Missouri, but nothing is here... and it is scary.
We made it to the hotel, will catch some zzz, and head out early tomorrow. Just 3 states tomorrow and half the time in the car.
7 more hours!
