Quality
Today we had our quality experience. We were scheduled to work with the Quality group to tear down and rebuild one of the engines off the line. The tear down took forever. I think it was in part because Queso acted as if he had never taken an engine apart before. I am not sure if he pretends that every engine tear down is his first experience (we have done it together at least 3 times since work started) or if he just dumb and doesn't understand. So it took forever explaining how each part worked part by part.....
We finished the tear down and rebuild with 2 hours left to work. Queso for some reason decided that he was done and went to work on the line. I stayed around and actually got to participate in the quality check aspect of the day. We went through a quality steps to make sure that every part was on the engine. We then had to test that there was a leak test the engine. After that testing the engine needed to be fired to make sure it all worked. The firing test is on the line that I worked yesterday. They guys at the line said they didn't have time to show me the firing today but that they would save the engine for tomorrow when I could participate in the firing. SO tomorrow I will be able to test the engine we rebuilt today. I hope it works.
It was over all an exciting day. I went to get some spaghetti for dinner and it was buy one get one free so I will hace a lunch for tomorrow. The spaghetti was super yummy, but I am running out of resturants. It is a good thing that I will be leaving soon.
