4 days left

My Wally-bob and his buddy Adam came to visit for the weekend. We had a really good time. I will keep things brief. Saturday we went to clean and paint a park in Hurricane, WV with other Toyota workers. We painted a bridge. After feeling good about contributing to the community, we went to the dog track and bet on dogs and played the slot. The dogs are amazing to watch... There is a bit of an animal activist feeling but at the same time it is amazing to see these dogs that were bred to run, run so beautifully. After that we went to Charleson, which didn't have too much to offer. We then went down toBridge Day at New River Gorge wherepeople parachute off the longest, single-span steel arch bridge (in the western hemisphere) 876ft up. We got there at the end of the day as people were leaving which made it nice to go look at the bridge and drive around the gorge. It was a beautiful piece of engineering that seemed to fit in with the nature around it. It wasn't a planned visit but It was an nice place to go. Driving in the mountains is a challenge, especially at night. Sunday we drove all over, we went to Marshall University, Ashland Kentucky, Some place in Ohio, and somewhere in the middle of Kentucky only to turn around to come back to WV. IT was all in an effort to get some kentucky whiskey. I learned a lot about dry counties, crappy ohio liquiorr laws, and that no liquior can be sold in WV on sunday. We ended up getting beer about .3 miles from teh hotel. I

I leave friday. I am enjoying the people here but the work is too physically challenging. I am so glad that I will be able to go back to my small office building.... where the most physically challenging thing i have to do is walk back and forth to the CAD room.

THis week I am working on engine quality testing. Basically setting up equipment for testing the engine (and checking that everything works and spins in the engin) and then taking it of and pack it in a crate. A lot of pushing the engine around is required. Tomorrow we will be working at a quality engine tear down all day. It should be good for getting some good information... but a pain in the ass to work Queso near tools because I have alread seen him learn to use a wrench 3 times... It will only be for a day. I am really feeling sore all over tonight. I hope I will have energy in the morning!
