Twos- Day
2 days until I am home!
Sumi is leaving tomorrow. I had quite a good time with him.
He was a good host.
I hope I can survive tomorrow!
Tomorrow I hope to get out of work early to try and do some shopping...
at least some s-bucks....
Today I left the office after 8pm.
The work day was busy. I spent the day making some documents.
I had 2 bigs meetings. I was the lead, but eventually everything just went to Japanese so I was just there.
I did get some list of tasks after the meeting was complete.
There is another American who just arrived.
We went out to dinner. It is nice to speak fast, regular english again!
3 good thing
1. Today I had Onigiri... rice ball with salmon and nori. On of my faves. It was because I had to grab something from the store so I could continue my quick lunch.
2. We went to some stake place... it was expensive... but they had fruit at the salad bar.
It was regular food, and I think I off set the price of the beef by eating tons of fruit.
3. I complete my important tasks and tomorrow I just have to get through the day... so i can get home!
Nothing really interesting.... I didn't talk to many people... or interact much outside my meetings.
I haven't mentioned that I really like some things about Japan.
Everything is on schedule here... by the minute. If I leave my hotel at 708 I can get right on the bus, if i leave at 709 I have to wait in line for 3 buses before I get on because the train arrived.
No one talks on the phone in buses and on lines or really in public. Why, because it is rude....
I don't think in the US you could tell anyone that certain places are unacceptable for phone uses.... people can hardly get off for the plane rides... or at hospitals where the phone can kill people.
It can be so quite here... even out in public.
I must get my things ready and see if I can fit everything in my bag!

I really wish we could ban cell phone usage in public - especially restaurants. I sear people think they are making an international call or something and talk super loud!
Mmmmmmmmmm, onigiri.
Yesterday my sister called me just as I was about to go into the library so I paced around outside the building while I talked to her, then went inside when my call was over. Then as I was browsing, I saw this girl go up to the circulation desk while still talking on the phone and try to carry out her library transaction and her phone conversation at the same time. That's the worst - when people can't even hang up to interact with people in person.
