Oh, what a day

So today started out well...
I had a delicious latte at S-bucks.
As I was drinking my latte, I experienced my second EARTHQUAKE.
From my last trip to Japan, I quickly know what was happening….
I looked around to see what other were doing… they were looking but not screaming or moving around like last time.
I will tell you that I am not a fan of these earthquakes. Some people come here often and never have an earthquake and I have one every time i come.

So then Sumi met me to travel to Tokyo.
We were taking my suitcase to the car and my shoe broke. All except my safety shoes are stored at the hotel in Tokyo city.... i was wearing mary janes.
So then we decided to eat cake. It was very delciouse... Crepe cake with fruit and custard in between.
We looked but we could not find a place to fix my broken shoe.

So we drive the slow drive to Nagoya, drop off the car, take our luggage and my broken self, and walk about 5 blocks to the train.
We get to the train and wait to leave.
The ride was good.
The we get to Tokyo, where i learn that I have to change trains.
We shuffle with all the people to the stairs where i have to carry my suitcase down stairs....
I had to pack everything last night, so what didn't fit in the big suitcase is with me... and i am concerned it might not survive this flight.
So, 1/2 hr on that train, then more stairs, up and down... then another train for 45 min.... Then more stairs.

Were we arrive to our destination, i am tired and it is SUPER hot. I mean it has been hot the whole time.... TH]he trains all had condensed windows.... and I am sweating.

I get to my hotel, where i look outside and see the train I just got off, there was no internet and is it about the side of my bathroom at home... except there is a bed, desk, table and chair... so I am tripping all over everything.

Also there is no internet. So i have to go to the desk where i learn that there isn't internet in my room and i had to move! At least this room isn't by the trains.
Also it is about 80 degrees in my room with no AC
Now, i must get my safety shoes out and prepare my sweaty self to go out with these suppliers.

At least I get to look forward to doing this tomorrow again... during Tokyo rush hour!

I had just read the internet news and had seen there was a earthquake in Japan. I was happy to see you had written to the blog and are safe. Hmmmmm does it mean you are lucky if there is an earthquake during a trip to Japan? The crepe looks pretty amazing and a just reward for surviving another earthquake. The rest of the day doesn't sound as enjoyable. When do you come home? Wednesday or Thursday? Take care. Love Amy

That cake looks amazing. It's too bad about your shoes! Are they fixable? Earthquakes are scary... and probably even scarier for Michiganders, since we don't deal with them on a daily basis.
