Wednesday, all day!
I haven't had a picture for a while so i took one in my room. These are the controls on the toilet. One is for bidet and the other for derriere. I have not tested them.It is wednesday. Another Guy from MI arrived today. He works in our group and is not happy to be here. I think i appreciate it more because the things that bother me or are difficult for me to understand, don't bother me as much as they do him. I will just have to compare myself with him and always know that I am happier than he is.
So today I skipped the ice cream and went for a suggested green tea ice cream treat. I REALLY like green tea ice cream (i can't think of a flavor i don't like) and i bought it. About 2 ounces of icecream was $1.50. THe ice cream the size of my head was $0.80. I will not be buying that ice cream again.
I have been using my new pen and pencil i bought from the store. I don't know what it is about the pens but they are WAY cooler than anything i have used before.
Everyday at 130 a bell goes off. At this time everyone stands up on the floor and a manager will go to the middle of the room to say something. I can't even here what he is saying from where I am at and the other's couldn't possibly either. But everyday at 130 we all stand up, pretend to listen, and then sit back down. It is very strange.
This morning Dufus went to work early to practice our training. He also skipped lunch. I don't think that it would help you study if you don't have any food in your system. He said he was in a groove and wanted to finish. I think if you are in a grooveit is best to take a break and come back and really see if you know it... or if it was just that grove. I have not had to practice. It seems to be very easy to me. We will see what happens on the test, but i can't think of what more i can do to practice. I look at the page and I can do it.... over and over again.
These next comments are true as I know them. These are observations I have made: Dufus stepped into a spider web at the train station, jumped around and took off his shirt. He says that he doesn't like spiders, but everyone was watching and I couldn't help but laugh. Would it occur to you to take your clothes off in public?
We stop at a station called Toyotashi. How you think it is said? Well we work for Toyota and then say shi. It is what all the Japanese say, even the lady's voice on the train says it that way. One person I am working with says it Toy yo (pause) Tahchi. I am not clear if this is getting across in words. I didn't know where he was talking about the first couple of times he used that word. I guess I am blessed with the ability to hear.
I think if next week were my last week I would be really happy with my Japan trip, but it isn't and that sort of sucks. I am enjoying the time but I am really missing my friends and family, my cell phone, and my comfort zone!

So I heard yesterday that Jennifer Granholm is heading to Japan for 9 days. She is going to meet with Toyota and try to drum up business for Michigan. So if you see her, say hello for me!!
You should have taken a picture of Dufus dancing off that spider. Classic.
If you are offered the red bean ice cream next time say no!! I went to this japanese restaurant (even that is out of my comfort zone) and they tried to feed me this ice cream...I figured that you can't really go wrong with ice cream but I was wrong - it was yucky!!!!
love the image of Dufus without his shirt...that has got to give him some negative points in the competition that he thinks he is having with you:)
So, have you seen the toilets with "big flush" and "little flush" handles? Or the ones that you can wash your hands in the tank as it refills after flushing? Or the traditional style toilets? Come on... this could be a whole toilet expedition type thing. Toilets of Japan :-)
I have to admit, I thought at first that your sis was saying that Heather Graham was coming to Japan to drum up business. I thought: Wow, that's nice of her. Then, I realized it was actually Jennifer Granholm. TOTALLY DIFFERENT PERSON. It's clear I need to leave work now.
