Arriving at David and Jennie's
The flight went pretty much as expected. The
guy next to me took too much room. I didn't sleep much but was able to watch 3 movies. I haven't been in Economy class for such a long flight in ages. Bob had a bit extra room because there wasn't a seat in front of him. That was great. We changed planes in Amsterdam with not much hassle. They didn't load on time, but they were the fastest borders ever and we were all boarded to the bus which took us to a parking lot ofplanes, and to our seats in 15 mins.

We are here just south of Zug. Here are some pictures. I spent hours sitting on the porch looking at the lake. My view is great. The picture alone is missing the cow bells ringing in the distance, I think I will have to take a movie. The other image is from a walk just around the corner. It is hazy so you can only see the hills of the alps, but not the mountains. Hopefully tomorrow will be better! I hope to get some sleep tonight so I won't have much jet lag.
Tomorrow we plan to go hiking and then make a plan for the week! We still don't have a plan. The interesting part of Switzerland is whatBob pointed out: we can't understand what anyone is saying, but they can all understand our English. It is strange. Anyway, I think we are in for a wonderful and relaxing trip!

Wow- how beautiful. You should have no problem keeping up the walking/running given such cool stuff around you! I'm jealous.
Dude we already miss you. I am so glad that you have posted pictures. We need daily updates! Especially regarding Bob's first trip abroad. Alex says hello on her saints day!!
I want to hear the hills being alive also. So glad that you are there with people you love and are loved by. We already miss you but are all super happy for this break for the two of you. You do sooo much for so many. Now it is time to enjoy. Muchos besitos.
I was investigating what there was to offer in Zug and came across this delectable sounding treat.
Zuger Kirschtorte
Zug’s cherry liquor cake has a firm place in the international world of confectionery and catering. It is amazing that it took relatively few years for it to reach this kind of status. In its present form, the gateau is a relatively recent creation.
I guess Michigan and Zug have Cherries in common.
I hope you both have a wonderful time. Love and miss you both. xoxoxoxo
